Spring Has Sprung!
We had an exceptionally wet winter here in Tucson, including three days of actual snow! It's not unheard of to get a bit of snow here in the valley, but having snow on three separate days was pretty usual.
In the desert, the abundance of winter precipitation generally means a stellar show of spring flowers. This is exactly what we are experiencing around town right now. Here are a few common favorites.

Aloe
Brittle bush
Lupine
Fairy duster
Globe mallow
Desert marigold
Creosote
Ocotillo
The best way to enjoy these gorgeous displays of nature is to take a little walk and keep your eyes open. While you can see many of these flowers from the window of your car, there are many others that are only visible at a closer range. Many of the cactus are starting to bloom or will be blooming soon, as well. Spring has sprung, and spring in Tucson is gorgeous!
